Our client, an ambitious and rapidly expanding eCommerce brand with creativity at its heart, is seeking a talented Studio Manager to lead their in-house production to new heights. This is a pivotal time to join them as they build a brand-new, on-site studio, offering a unique chance to shape their content creation, collaboration, and scaling strategies across all channels.

The Role:

As the full-time Studio Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the daily operations of their state-of-the-art in-house photography studio. You will be responsible for managing a skilled team of photographers, re-touchers, and stylists, as well as optimising processes and projects to ensure all content is produced to the highest standard, on time, and within budget. Your work will directly support everything from crucial product listings to engaging creative campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinating all in-house studio activities, encompassing photography, retouching, and efficient workflows.
  • Strategically scheduling and prioritising shoots in alignment with key business and marketing objectives, including product launches and campaigns.
  • Working collaboratively with the Studio Assistant Manager to provide guidance, support, and motivation to the broader studio team.
  • Overseeing the talented team of creatives (photographers, stylists, re-touchers) and effectively managing freelance bookings as required.
  • Maintaining a meticulous studio tracker, ensuring the seamless delivery of assets to various departments, including Marketing, eCommerce, and Social Media.
  • Ensuring the consistency and exceptional quality of all visual output, adhering strictly to brand guidelines.
  • Taking ownership of studio equipment, including regular maintenance and comprehensive inventory management.
  • Implementing and continuously refining studio processes to significantly improve workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborating closely with buying, creative, and marketing teams to ensure clear alignment on project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Possess 5+ years of demonstrable experience in a studio operations or production role, ideally within the eCommerce Homeware sector.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of end-to-end content production workflows.
  • Have proven experience in effectively managing creative teams and collaborating with freelance professionals.
  • Demonstrate solid knowledge of studio equipment, including various lighting setups, cameras, and capture systems.
  • Possess exceptional organisational and time management capabilities.
  • Display a proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Be familiar with relevant studio technology and software, such as Capture One and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
  • Possess strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction across diverse departments.
