The Statistics
How we successfully delivered the brief
A successful pitch following a referral
We were recommended to Car.co.uk via a candidate referral who we had previously placed and was very happy with our service. After meeting their business consultant, we were introduced to the Operations Director and CEO of the company who we pitched our Executive Search Service to and were engaged to start work on this important recruitment project. They were impressed with our high conversion rates and value for the fee agreed.
The Brief for a Digital Marketing Director
Our most experienced recruitment Directors who lead the Executive Search department consulted with the client on the role specifics, sent example job specs, advised on the salary range and agreed the job title which would be both attractive to the candidate and also worked within the business structure. We also helped them to put a package together which included equity which ended up being highly lucrative for the successful candidate.
The client required a hands on Director who had experience and results in SEO and organic marketing whilst having the gravitas internally to get things done. Whilst the candidate would be working remotely, they would need to meet with the management team in Preston and work with management who were also abroad.
The Challenge and Approach
Effective Search & Selection activity from applications, headhunting and referrals
The client required a hands on Director who had experience and results in SEO and organic marketing whilst having the gravitas internally to get things done. Whilst the candidate would be working remotely, they would need to meet with the management team in Preston and work with management who were also abroad.
The Search & Selection service would include external advertising, searching through the company’s extensive database of active and passive candidates and activating it’s referral channels to find the ideal selection of candidates. After agreeing the role could be remote, the volume of applications exceeded 1.5k, meaning we’d need to assess every candidate for the role using specific search criteria and Ai, all overseen by our expert recruitment Directors to give every candidate the best opportunity.
The client was presented with an initial longlist with varying candidate backgrounds and experience to enable the client to focus on the ideal candidate profile. After agreeing 6 interviews, the client prioritised 3 and took 2 of these to 2nd interview which included a task and the ability to understand the cultural fit.
The Outcome
Successful recruitment of a Digital Marketing Director
This process involved close communications between the agency and decision makers to ensure the right choice was made when considering the business objectives. The agency was able to liaise between the client and the candidate to fully understand each other’s positions and address any questions or concerns that either party had throughout the interview process. As this was a Search & Selection brief, the client had comfort that any counteroffer situation had been dealt with due to the close working relationship the agency had with the candidate as part of the Executive Search service. The chances of the candidate dropping out throughout the pre-starting period is also minimised because of the deep understanding we have of the candidate’s position, again due to the exclusive nature of the service provided and detail covered.
After a 6-week process from brief to offer, the client had successfully secured their new Digital Marketing Director.
