Melanie Telford

Melanie is the Marketing and Operations Manager at The Candidate and blends her marketing responsibilities with making sure the office runs smoothly for all the team.

After graduating in Northern Ireland Melanie began her career in public service, dedicating her time to Local government funding programs, assisting in economic development in rural communities through grant acquisition as well as fulfilling a role in human resources and played a key role in talent management. This was all a solid base for her when she moved into recruitment marketing at The Candidate after relocating to Manchester in 2015.

Currently Melanie is a busy Marketing and Operations Manager, leading the company’s marketing department. Her team are dedicated to keeping ontop of latest trends and software investments to ensure that they attract the top tier talent for their valued clients. Melanie isn't just passionate about internal success; she champions community engagement. She is active in fostering partnerships with local networks and was involved in the first board that created the now very successful Bloom North. She also nurtures the strong relationships with the Manchester and Northwest universities to connect with graduates and advise on career skills. She is active in managing the company’s memberships, relationships and partnerships, i.e. Manchester Publicity Association and Prolific North.
